In 1925 Jung conducted the seminar on which this book is based. In this text, Jung discusses the basic tenets of analytical psychology—the collective unconscious, typology, the archetypes, and anima/animus theory. In order to illuminate his theoretical formations, Jung utilized case material, examples in the fine arts, and analylsis of symbolism in novels.
