By Robert Johnson
Reading Inner Gold, Robert Johnson’s most recent book is much like following the morning star to the seaside at dawn and discovering the gifts that have been brought to shore through the night. Illuminations that reflect on our daily lives and the challenge of love, loneliness, projection, and so forth. These are the stories and wisdom from a life well-lived, consciously and with devotion to God’s secret intentions, through which one can learn the importance and necessity of consciousness and receive the gift of the morning star Johnson has generously given us. When Johnson was a young man Jung said to him, “Devote your energies to the collective unconscious. Keep the outer dimensions of your life as modest as possible.” This little book is one of the fruits of that great labor and we are the fortunate recipients.
