In the series Divination:
Divination by Way of Images
Presented by Yolanda Robinson, Ph.D.
- Sold Out
As a tool of divination the Tarot is as effective as our intention; as effective as the way that we pose the questions or the manner that we open ourselves to the images and symbols that flow into consciousness once the cards are drawn. This workshop will offer a hands-on, experiential approach to the Tarot. We will introduce the topic with the Rider–Waite–Smith deck, but you are
welcome to bring your favorite deck. We will discuss the overall structure of a deck, the Minor and Major Arcana and the importance of understanding the archetypal energies and the use of numbers, symbols, metaphors, and
storytelling to unlock the messages received.
Course Objectives:
- Describe the overall structure of a deck of Tarot cards
- Explain the traditional archetypal energies associated with the images of the Major Arcana
- Formulate questions that can be addressed by the symbols and metaphors portrayed by the images
