In the series Divination:
Presented by Amanda Foulger and Michele Daniel, Ph.D.
Shamanism is an ancient system for healing, well-being, guidance and growth using human abilities involving body, mind and spirit. After an introduction to the archetypal roots of divination, the focus, this workshop will provide the opportunity to participate in shamanic divinatory explorations that access our need for healing in our past, our need to be related to and guided by the
unfolding Self in the present, and our need for visioning our futures. Bring a bandana or other eye-covering, a journal, and a pillow for floor work. A
single-headed drum or rattle will be welcome and chairs will be available.
Course Objectives:
- Identify three archetypes that underlie the process of divination
- Describe the idea of a “Spirit of Divination” and its personal meaning
- Explain the “Janus” model of past, present, and future as used in divination
