Presented by Allen D. Koehn, D. Min.
This concluding presentation will focus on what it means to live an authentic life of the spirit in everyday circumstances. Often we try to “grasp” our
experiences of the numinous only to find that they really do stand outside the ego’s wishes. The
archetype of the Trickster will be considered as a necessary aid as we seek to avoid such traps.
Trickster lives on the threshold of all experience and both calls us to connect and to let go. This talk will be essential as we learn a numinous way to “chop wood and carry water.”
Course Objectives:
- Describe what is meant by living a liminal life
- Discuss how the trickster archetype functions in daily life
- Give examples of what supports and what interferes with living a liminal life
