Revisiting the Shadow
Presented by James Hollis, Ph.D.
For each of us, there are energies, motives, and agendas which operate outside of our conscious control, and which may be contrary to our professed
values. While these energies may make us uncomfortable with ourselves, they often represent an invitation for greater consciousness, for living more
ethically, and whose integration brings a greater possibility of wholeness. In this workshop, we will explore some of the ways in which the Shadow
operates in our personal as well as professional lives, through a series of
exercises and questions. Please bring a notebook and pen with which to
journal.
Course Objectives:
- Describe what is meant by Jung's concept of the Shadow
- Describe how the Shadow may manifest in one's personal life as well as in the collective
- Describe what Shadow issues may arise between therapist and patient
