“I was mad at him for a year. I felt that Jung should really tell me what I should do, and he wouldn’t.” – Mary Bancroft

Born into a prominent Boston family, Mary Bancroft became a journalist and novelist. She lived with her Swiss husband and children in a remote village in the Alps prior to World War II. Curiosity and a difficulty drew her to lung with whom she worked analytically for over 10 years. During the war, Mary was trained as a special agent under Allen Dulles, head of the Office of Strategic Services (now the CIA). Here she reflects on her personal impressions of lung, her work with Dulles, and her perspective on lung’s contributions to the modern world.
