Born in Basle, Switzerland in 1912, Heinrich Fierz lived most of his life in Zurich and was acquainted with C.G. and Emma Jung from an early age. He took a medical degree in 1932, and for the next thirty years he analyzed regularly with Jung, and attended his seminars. For many years he was the director of the Clinic am Zurichberg.
