“I think his greatness steins from his real capacity to understand the essential content of a particular piece of human distress. And when he did that, he was unrivaled. I think it’s a pity he didn’t give us more of that.” – Michael Fordham, M.D.
Dr. Fordham was born in London in 1905. He studied medicine at Trinity College, Cambridge. As a young physician he consulted with Dr. Peter Baynes, a Jungian analyst in London. Later, after meeting Jung, he decided to leave Neurology and become a psychoanalyst. He was co-editor of the Collected Works of Jung in English and was a founding member of the Society of Jungian Analysts in London.
