Inner turmoil, stuckness, a sense that no thing feels right, relationship challenges, transitioning into a new career, marriage, motherhood, or a new living situation, immigration and the adjustments to a new culture, loss and grieving, facing the day to day experiences–– the complexities of life can feel overwhelming, discouraging, and isolating, while also holding potential for profound understanding, insight, and growth.
My hope in our work is to help make room for new ways of partnering with yourself, with your feelings and capacities, broadening your response repertoire, cultivating new ways of reconnecting with your creative embodied self and feeling more at home with yourself, in your own unique skin.
My orientation is deeply rooted in Jungian psychoanalysis / depth psychology, creative expressive arts, and body-oriented modalities. This means that we will talk about your challenges and symptoms, draw on your inner images, explore the deeper unconscious motivations and meanings, engage with your night dreams, pay attention to your body’s intelligence and wisdom as a place of resourcing.
I work with adults, couples, and children, on many challenges, including emotional disturbances such as anxiety and depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, loss and grieving.
I am a licensed psychotherapist / Marital Family Therapist (LMFT #132217), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), and Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Educator (RSMT/E).
My lived experiencing in the Middle-East, Europe, and the United States supports a deepened and widened multi-cultural multi-perspective sensibility.
While I am an out of network provider and not on insurance panels, I provide psychotherapy statements or “super-bills” for you to submit to your health insurance for possible reimbursement. I have opted out and do not accept medicare. I offer sliding scale.
I offer in person session at my office in Santa Monica, CA and online/telehealth when appropriate.
