The founder of archetypal psychology is considered by many to be the leading pioneer of post-Jungian thought.  Dick Russell, the authorized biographer of three volumes, will discuss the fertile later years of Hillman's life, as he authored more than twenty books, including Revisioning Psychology and The Soul's Code.
Russell's chronicle covers Hillman's years as a professor at Zurich's Jung Institute and the University of Dallas, his becoming the first psychologist since Jung to deliver the prestigious Terry Lectures at Yale, his time in the mythopoetic men's movement, and his deep connection to Italy and Japan.

Dick Russell is the author of seventeen books on a wide range of subjects, including natural history, the assassination of President Kennedy, a memoir about an alternative approach to mental illness, and Black Genius and the American Experience.
